Read the essay from **TIME 100 - Martin Luther King**. As you do, respond to the following questions Why does the author feel that whites owe King the greatest debt?
Whites owe King the greatest debt because he made America truly the "free" country.
Was King "the right man at the right time?Yes, King was the right man at the right time. King was a preacher, so he is an amazing speaker, he has a connection with the blacks and the black church, and he was extremely brave.
Would King be upset with the current use of his most often quoted line? Why or why not?I think that King would be upset with the current use of his most often quoted line because that line was very meaningful and was about his kids (which is very important to him) and pushed for equal rights of African Americans. Now companies use that line for advertisements and slogans (not for powerful and important uses.) Other people do believe that he would not be upset because they are honoring him and one company had "I have a dream" as their slogan, so they opened their company on MLK's birthday.
